The Right Tools.
The Right Choices.
The Right Life.

Living the True Life is the only way to go. All other ways lead to destruction. Yet we continue to struggle with this. Why? Shouldn't we all want to do the right thing? Why is doing what's "right" such a difficult achievement at times?

Life can get pretty tricky. Every day we have decisions to make. Sometimes it's traumatic enough deciding what to wear for the day. Nothing fits right. Nothing feels right. "This makes me look fat." "These pants are too tight around my waist." "I have to wear a belt with those pants." Decision, decision, decisions--and we haven't even made it out the door to begin our day!

The decisions we make not only affect us, but they affect those around us. The decisions we make today may not produce any results until tomorrow or the next day--or even ten years from now. We reap what we sow, right? The Lord told Abraham that the decisions of the fathers would affect their children for generations to come (see Exodus 34:7).

It's a little scary thinking that the decisions we make today may affect our grandchildren and even our grandchildren's children.

Think about Adam and Eve's decision to be like God and understand the difference between good and evil. Their decision changed the course of God's plan for us so much that He had to send His son to die for us to save us from their hasty rock-our-world-and-flip-it-upside-down decision.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Pro 3:5-6 NKJV). God sees the bigger picture. We see what's in front of us and are easily affected by our surroundings. He knows how our decisions will affect us and our children. We can't always see that either because we can't see enough or we are too overtaken by our circumstances and our feelings.

Psalms 119:105 says, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path." He wants to be our guide. He wants to light our way. He wants us to use His book of wisdom, power, and revelation to help us succeed in this life. "As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him" (Psalms 18:30). He goes before us through the jungle, His machete slicing through the foliage and other obstacles to make our paths clear. Why wouldn't we want to follow a God like Him? He wants what is best for us and He shows us how to achieve that--we only have to listen and read His word!

"It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect" (Psalms 18:32).

Can we let go of our old precepts and trust Him? He is our creator. He loves us more than anything on earth. We are His greatest treasures. Let's learn how to use the right tools, make the right choices, and live the right life: The True Life.
